Contact a Bankruptcy Attorney when Filing a Bankruptcy
Video Transcribed: Oklahoma City Bankruptcy Attorney Edward Kelley here at 888 Debtline, answering your bankruptcy questions. And I’ve been putting out these videos for a month now, but I’m going to keep at it, because it’s so important why this pandemic has a silver lining.
This may be the best time you will ever have, to file your chapter 7 or chapter 13 bankruptcy. So I’m going to go over one reason every day, the first four days in this particular series.
This is day one and then at the end, we’ll do an overview of all the reasons. So number one, why is now a good time to do your bankruptcy? Your stimulus.
So almost all of you would qualify for and have received or will receive a $1,200 stimulus check. And if you have any kids, you get 500 a piece for your kids. So, that’s just about what you need to do a bankruptcy.
And I know that I and many other bankruptcy attorneys are taking into account the economic troubles of these times. So many people have been laid off, hours cut, having to stay home, and I’m modifying my prices where necessary to match where that stimulus is, whether or not you have kids.
So, that’s a one silver lining. You may have the ability to hire me or any bankruptcy attorney now, due to that stimulus, with a chunk of change you wouldn’t normally have.
If you’ve already received your tax return and that’s gone, your tax refund and didn’t have any leftover to take care of your bankruptcy or you tried to use that to get out of your debts, and it just didn’t do it, now you’ve got another shot.
So, that’s the number one reason. You may have the ability to afford a bankruptcy attorney, and like I said, feel free to contact me directly for specific rates in your situation.
Attorneys are being sensitive and adaptive to people’s needs in this difficult time, and you may be able to do it, in a practical sense have the money to do it, when you normally would not.
And bear in mind, even if times are troubling, if you get that bankruptcy done while this is going on, you’ll come out of it without any debt, and you may take care of most of those debts that are crushing you right now. So, that’s your number one reason, stimulus.
